ROCKLAND — Penobscot Bay Language School, a nonprofit organization based in Midcoast Maine, celebrates spring with a traditional Italian dinner on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 5-8 p.m.
This indoor/outdoor fundraiser will include a traditional Italian dinner prepared by former PBLS Board Chair, cook and world traveler Lesie Fillnow (along with her husband Bob and guest cook David Robichaud). Funds raised will support educational programs for foreign language students and new Mainers.
Dinner guests must register online at www.penobscot.us/events/category/cultural-events/. The $40 entrance fee includes an authentic four-course meal, wine/beer or soft drinks, discussion of Italian history, heritage, stereotypes, in the Americas and the ‘old country’ “.
“PBLS is thrilled to have Leslie back in the kitchen to share her unique cooking skills and knowledge of the culture,” PBLS said in a press release.
Founded in 1986 as a non-profit language school and cultural exchange center, Penobscot Bay Language School has served over 6,000 locals and over 500 international students of all ages with language instruction and cultural programs. More than three decades later, we continue to promote our mission: to develop and provide opportunities for people in Midcoast Maine and around the world to explore our shared experience on Earth through the study and celebration of language and culture.
