can some one recommend inexpensive french courses that are available in winter for beginners. i couldn’t find any that start in december.
Most classes in Canada finish some time in December. Classes normally resume in January.
I suggest you contact one of the universities in Montreal. The university night courses are usually less expensive or very comparable to the private language schools, plus they are credit courses which always come in handy. Try Concordia, they have a good language program. You could also try Université de Montréal or Université de Québec à Montréal. McGill University, although one of the best in Montreal, is not really specialized in languages.
There are also many CEGEP schools you could attend. I suggest you call the Commission scolaire de Montréal (CSDM) – French School Board of Montreal. Their location and information is on the link below. Sorry but the link is in French, however when you contact them you will find English-speaking people there to answer your questions. Good luck!
