I speak english very fluently since it is my first language, and I can speak french pretty fluently. What would be an easy language to learn if I already know these two? Thanks in advance!
It depends on what direction you want to go in.
Spanish or Italian would obviously be easy choices since you knew French. They don’t sound the same, but once you start seeing it written-down, broken-down, then you start to see where all the links are.
BUT, if you’d rather give yourself an interesting new challenge, you ought to consider the Germanic/Scandinavian language. Swedish, Dutch, German, Norwegian
All of these language has fascinating similarities to English, and were very interesting studies. I’d argue that Swedish is one of the both, most useful, and most interesting languages an English speaker can learn. I thought they spoke English so well there because the education was so good, but in reality when I broke down the language it was probably all around closer to English than any language I’d ever seen (save Dutch maybe).
In conclusion, I’m saying you might get bored going with another Romance. It’ll make it easy, and if you really want to learn Italian or Spanish go ahead, but going in another direction and checking out the North European language is also an option you should consider.
